IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cathy L.
Karsch
November 2, 1956 – October 9, 2022
Cathy Lyn "Cate" Karsch, 65, of Grove Street found eternal peace from her battle with Multiple System Atrophy and Parkinson's Disease Sunday, October 9, 2022 at home with her loving husband and family by her side. Cathy was born in Cobleskill, to Naomi and Clifford Campbell.
She lived her entire life in Middleburgh. After graduating from Middleburgh Central School, Cathy began working as a road inspector for the State of New York. Following her time with the New York State road crew, she started her extensive postal career. She worked as a postal clerk at the Middleburgh Post Office, where everyone knew her smiling face and loving personality. After 25 years as a clerk, she moved on to be a Postmaster at the West Fulton Post Office, where she enjoyed walking and appreciating the scenery and small community on her lunch break. Cathy retired in 2014 to focus her energy on her courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease and enjoy her growing family.
Cathy was predeceased by her adoring parents, as well as her older brother Gary Campbell and younger brother Richard Campbell.
Along with her lovingly devoted husband, Kim Karsch, she is survived by her children: Kass (Tanya) Karsch of Virginia, Chelsea (Karsch) Raye of Washington, Ryan Karsch of Japan, Jared (Janice) Karsch of Vermont, and Emily Karsch (Antwan Blatch) of Florida; grandchildren: Christopher Karsch, Maile (Adam) Cann, AnnaSofia Raye, Brynna Raye, Kairi Blatch, and Layla Blatch; as well as aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews. The Karsch family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Barb Coons for all of her love and support in caring for Cathy. Helios Care has also been a great support in Cathy's care over the years.
A celebration of Cathy's life will be held in the summer of 2023. Please consider donating to either the National Parkinson's Foundation or the American Parkinson's Disease Association in honor of Cathy.
Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Cathy and her family.
