Catherine M. Shevlin, of Middleburgh, found eternal peace on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in the loving embrace of her sister, Patricia as her Chaplain Gabriella Makue softly sang the Gregorian chant and "Of the Father's Love Begotten."  Cathy's family also extends their gratitude to the Doctors and nurses at Albany Med's ICU along with Chaplain Vangie Pegues for their compassion and care.

Cathy was born on April 7, 1951 in New York, NY to Elizabeth (Moroney) and Leo Shevlin and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1970.  She worked for the New York State Fair Hearings Department in Albany for many years as a keyboard specialist.

She loved dogs, visiting church bazaars and garage sales and dining out at different restaurants.

Loving Cathy forever are her sister: Patricia Federico of Middleburgh; her nephew: Richard (Julee Miller) Lewis of Oneonta; her nieces: Celeste (Josh) Hayes of Hockley Texas and Cherie (Dale Donley) Federico of York, England; and her great-nieces and nephews: Amelie P. Federico-Donley, Isabella Hayes, Finnegan Hayes and Elijah Hayes.  Cathy was predeceased by her parents, her sister: Mary Lewis and her brother-in-law: Robin Federico.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main Street Middleburgh. Cathy's family will also host a celebration of her life and a reception for family and friends at a date to be announced.   Inurnment will be held privately.
