Bridget M. Cole, of Grove Street, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 20, 2025. Bridget was born 60 years ago in Richmondville, on July 22, 1965 to Hazel Hollenbeck and Clayton Cole.
She attended Schoharie Central School and BOCES for wood working, graduating in 1984 and was employed at Toe Path Industries for many years. Bridget was an avid horror movie fan, she dearly loved animals, especially cats and also loved to cook for her family and friends. She had a deep passion to teach cooking to others. Bridget's smile and laugh could light up any room that she was in and she will be remembered for being a strong willed and deeply compassionate woman, with a great sense of humor.
Loving Bridget forever are her aunt Barbara VanValkenbugh; her nephew: Anthony (Lindsay) VanValkenburg; her sister-in-law: Linda Blanchard Moon; her 3 nieces Betty, Dawn and Becky; and her extended Lexington ARC family and friends. Bridget was proceeded by her uncle Fred VanValkenbugh, her sister: Patricia Clark and her brother: Joseph "Chip" Blanchard.
In keeping with her wishes, no formal services will be held. Bridget's family and friends thank you for remembering her and them through this time and request any memorials in Bridget's honor be sent to the Schoharie Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092
