Brenda J. Varella, of Middleburgh, found eternal peace on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Cooperstown Center for Nursing where she had resided for the last few years.

Brenda was born 73 years ago on January 4, 1951 in Cobleskill, to Elizabeth Diamond and Robert E. Varella and graduated from Middleburgh Central School with the Class of 1969.

Brenda worked most recently as a home health aide, caring for others.  She enjoyed bowling, sewing and making crafts.  She also loved Country music and was a huge fan of Elvis.

Brenda was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Middleburgh and generously gifted her sewing items to their Phoebe Circle, to continue their ministry of quilt and blanket making for others in need.

Brenda will be loved forever by her sister: Virginia A. Tinney of Middleburgh; her brothers: David (Amy) Varella of Raeford, NC and Raymon (Linda) Varella, of Iron Station, NC; nephew: Justin Varella of Leland, NC and his sons: Lucas and Ethan Varella; and many cousins.

A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, June 3, 2024 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Main Street, Middleburgh.  A visitation with Brenda's family will be from 10:00-11:00AM, prior to the service.  Inurnment will follow in the Middleburgh Cemetery.
