Middleburgh: Thomas N. Wargo, 58, of Scribner Avenue, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital after being stricken at home.

Tom was born on August 26, 1958 in Milford, CT, a son of Patricia (Sherwood) and Arthur Wargo.

Tom graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1976 and proudly served in the United States Navy form 1976 to 1980.

He attended some classes at Sienna College and worked at various locations including L-Ken, driving for Fugi, managing the arcade at Riverside Mall in Amsterdam and guiding tours at Howe Caverns.

Tom's true passion was skiing. He was employed as an instructor at the Schenectady Ski School and Windham Mountain Resort.

He enjoyed reading, Civil War history and war games, including Dungeons and Dragons. Tom loved spending time with his daughter, his family and his friends. His loving and caring spirit will continue to help others through his generous gift of organ donation.

Tom is survived by his wife: TerryAnn (Brooks) whom he married on December 30, 2012; his daughter: Seraphina Wargo of Middleburgh; parents: Patricia and Arthur Wargo of Middleburgh; step-daughter: Katrina LaForest of Schenectady; step-son: Steven LaForest, Jr. of Middleburgh; grandson: Logan DeGuzman of Schenectady; sisters: Linda Wargo of American Canyon, CA, Gail (Ron) Wargo Holmes of Yakima, WA, Susan Wargo of Middleburgh; brothers: Richard (RoseMary) Wargo of Voorheesville, Robert Wargo of Queensbury, Peter (Chandra) Wargo of Tucson, AZ; one niece; four nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main Street, Middleburgh, NY, with Fr. Matthew Wetsel as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 10:30AM-12:00PM at the church, prior to the Mass.
