Robert "Bob" Lacko, 54, Thorn Hill, TN, formerly of Middleburgh, NY passed away suddenly June 13, 2019.
He was born October 10, 1964 in Bridgeport, CT to Stephen and Barbara (Skau)Lacko.
Bob loved his family, friends, chickens and animals, especially Zoey, Rosy and Blu.
His soul breathed exhaust fumes and adrenaline, rarely missing a drag race, NASCAR, off roading, or snowmobiling trip. When not indulging in those, Bob found solace in fishing and letting the rhythm of his favorite music beat deep in his soul. Bob’s greatest moments though were with his family and friends.
His mechanical genius, shirt-off-his-back generosity, love of fast cars, nitrous oxide, trains, snowmobiles and 4x4 trucks, especially Jeeps will be treasured by all that knew him.
Chase said, “if my dad can't fix it, it ain't broke.”
Bob also enjoyed the simple life of Eastern Tennessee. It wasn't uncommon for him to spend a leisurely Saturday or Sunday exploring the countryside with his family. Gatlinburg was probably his favorite place to bring visiting family and friends. He liked to call it "Lake George on steroids."
Bob’s family includes his wife of 31 years: Kimberly (Bordeau) Lacko; beloved children, Carissa, Samantha and Chase Lacko; brother, Brian (Sandra) Lacko and niece, Hailey; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends.
While memorial services will be held at a later time, Bob’s family thanks you for honoring his memory and remembering them and also extends their gratitude to Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home, New Tazewell, TN and Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC, Middleburgh, NY for their compassion and care.
