Milford – Philip N. Marasco, 69, found eternal peace on Sunday, June 16, 2019 from the comfort of his home.
Philip was born on March 13, 1950 in Queens, to Katherine (Lanza) and Nicholas Marasco, who both predeceased him along with his brother: Joe Visone.
The defining point of his youth was entering the United States Marines in 1967 and serving until 1971.
Philip proudly secured the perimeter of Blackthorne Resort in East Durham for many years and loved little more than twisting the throttle on his motorcycle, feeling the wind in his face and listening to the rumble of the engine.
Philip’s family requested his parting message be shared.
“To all of my friends and family, though I am gone I am in a better place now. I have joined the people that I missed and love. My life as a Marine helped shape me to the man I am. I will now be with “My Brothers” who all fought in battle. Remember me always in the wave of the flag and the sound of a bike that follows the road. SEMPER FI”
Loving him forever are his wife, Elaine Marasco, of Milford, whom he married on November 29, 1988; his son: Nicholas Pacio (Mary Ruck) of Manassas, VA; his step-children: Danielle Gershovich (Steve Caiazzo) of Brooklyn and Rob Harmon of Manhattan; his step-mother: Anita Agueci of Mattituck; his step-brother: Patrick Sweeney of San Diego; his Marine family; his beloved family members at Blackthorne Resort, including Roy and Dale Handel, Patty Handel and Jenine Valentino and all of his loving cousins.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC 134 River Street, Middleburgh.
