Matthew G. Conklin

Lawyersville – Matthew G. “Fozz” Conklin, 45, of Larkin Lane, found eternal peace on October 24, 2018 at his home.

Born on November 12, 1972 in Albany, he was the oldest son of Jennifer (Briggs) and Donald E. Conklin.

Matthew grew up in Middleburgh and attended Middleburgh Central School before leaving to find his own way in the world.  A free spirit, he chose “Fozz” as his nickname and lived life on his terms.  He never missed a chance to watch a spine chilling horror movie, share a laugh or spend time with his friends and family.  He worked as a cook for many eateries, most recently at KFC in Cobleskill.

Matthew’s father, Donald, predeceased him in 2011.

His life and memory will live on with his mother: Jennifer B. Conklin of Middleburgh; his sisters: Sue Ann Conklin and companion, Irving of Fultonham, Julie Conklin and companion, Pete of Middleburgh; his brothers: Daniel Conklin and companion Lauren, of Catskill and Andrew Conklin and wife, Kelly of Albany; his nieces: Alexis and Lacey Skowfoe and many friends.

While a memorial will be held privately, Coltrain Funeral Home, LLC of Middleburgh is honored to be caring for Matthew and his family and thanks you for remembering them through this time.
