George K. Sutton was born on a small farm in Hunlock Creek PA, on August 2, 1924. Growing up during the Great Depression, he always appreciated the little things in life. He attended Seattle Pacific University and Roberts Wesleyan College, receiving his formal degree in theology.
George met his wife Mary Ann Gibson while attending Seattle Pacific. They were married and remained steadfast to each other and their family.
George loved life and liked to tell stories, always finding the humor in everything. He always treated everyone with equal love and respect, each person was another child of God to him.
He was an ordained minister in the Free Methodist Church and spent his life spreading God’s word to everyone. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandkids. He lit up with pride when his new great-grandchildren came to visit. Though called to share God’s love and message, a part of George’s heart held a special place for farming and he loved to watch the cows and farm life from the porch at Shepherd Glen.
While George found his Heavenly peace on November 19, 2018, he will be missed and remembered forever by his family and friends.
All are invited to a graveside service at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Maplecrest Cemetery, Maplecrest, NY.
