Middleburgh – Framaja “Freya” W. Karsch (Bisschop) died April 1, 2018 in the warmth of her home and generously gifted herself to Albany Medical College.
Freya was very active in the Westchester – Putnam Council of Boy Scouts of America while raising her family, before moving to Schoharie County. Talented in many ways, Freya loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens, reading books in quiet time and she entertaining family and friends. Her dinners, barbeques, Friday Happy Hours and annual Christmas buffets, following services at the Gates Hill church, will be cherished memories, along with tastes and aromas of her famous homemade Dandelion wine.
Freya’s family includes her husband of 62 years, Willard Karsch, Sr. of Middleburgh; daughter: Karen (Corey) Christo of Dover Plains; sons: Glenn Karsch of Beacon, Willard (Carrie) Karsch, Jr. of Parksville; 8 beloved grandchildren: Travis Karsch, Sarah Karsch, Kathryn Christo, Heather Karsch, Andrea Karsch, Erik Karsch, Jason Christo and Bradley Karsch; her extended family: sisters-in-law: Paula Scofield and Attie Bisschop, who lives in their native Holland; brothers-in-law: Martin, Kim, Donald and Douglas Karsch and their families; many nieces, nephews and friends.
