Gilboa - Douglas M. Hubbard, 75 of Gilboa New York, passed away on January 15th, 2018 at the Margaretville Hospital from complications of exposure, after an accident on Bull Hill Road in the town of Conesville.
Doug was born on September 10, 1942 in Cobleskill to the late Frances (Barber) and Clifton Hubbard.
Doug was a proud, lifelong resident of the Town of Gilboa, a US Navy veteran and a retiree of the New York Power Authority. Doug was a gentle soul who always liked to help others when he could.
Besides his parents, Doug was predeceased by his brother: Wayne Hubbard
Doug is survived by his sons: Douglas (Peggy) Hubbard, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Hubbard, Michael Hubbard and Matthew (Emily) Mattice; six grandchildren: Frances Hubbard, Wyatt Hubbard, Cassandra Colburn, Liam Mattice, Jesse Mattice, Maxwell Mattice; his siblings: LaVerne Hubbard, Marilyn Vonderheide, Gerald Hubbard, David Hubbard, Carol Roberts, and Susan Ciacci. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends, including Ellen Lucas.
No formal services will be held at this time. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Gilboa Cemetery, Gilboa, NY.
