Rensselaer- Audrey J. Zeh, 79, of Tanners Lane, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at The Eddy in Troy, following declining health.
Audrey was born on January 21, 1938 in Gloversville, to Audrey (Rumrill) and Seymore Zeh.
She worked as a profusionist at Albany Medical Center for many years, before retiring.
A true lover of nature, she loved camping trips and early morning fishing. Audrey traveled extensively all over the United States, Europe and other parts of the world with her sister and with her colleagues. She enjoyed collecting rocks, geodes, quartz and garnet from many states, outside natural parks and studying geology. Audrey was also a passionate photographer, capturing vivid images from her travels, being a member of the Delmar photo club and printing her own pictures, many of which won awards. Audrey also served as the historian for the Hudson Adirondack Daylily Society and her Tappan Hill Garden, with 500 daylily cultivars, is an open display garden for the American Hemerocallis Society.
Her family includes her sisters: Christl Schmidt of Rensselaer, Patricia Maderic and her husband Fred; two nieces and one nephew.
A graveside service will be held privately at the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, at the family's convenience.
