Huntersland: Arline M. Guest, 80, of Huntersland Road passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Arline was born in Cobleskill on April 23, 1937 to Myrtle (Reid) and Herbert Cater.
She graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1955 and went on to a career at SUNY Cobleskill as a computer operator.
Active in her community, Arline was a member of the Huntersland United Methodist Church, the Huntersland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the Middleburgh Golden Agers, and the Hilltown Seniors.
She found joy in knitting, crocheting and painting ceramics but her biggest enjoyment was supporting her family, to whom she was devoted.
Arline is survived by her husband Harold N. Guest Jr. whom she married on October 15, 1955; their children: Karen (Mike) Brandow of Gilboa, Diana Vreeland (Roger Parent) of Schoharie, Harold N. (Linda) Guest III of Huntersland, David (Andrea) Guest of Granville, Wallace Guest of Huntersland, and Donald (Melissa) Guest of Middleburgh; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Herbert (Yvonne) Cater of Live Oak, FL, Ruth Dexter of Rotterdam, Melvin (Mary) Cater of Rotterdam and former daughter-in-law and friend Kathy Guest of Middleburgh.
At Arline's request, services will be held privately.
