Steven C. Colon

Middleburgh- Steven C. Colon, 49, of Grove Street, died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Steven was born on March 8, 1968 in the Bronx to Sally Juan and Cecilio Colon.

He worked for several years at the Schoharie County Highway Department before taking a position as a driver and operator with Carver Sand and Gravel for the last few years.

Steven loved to laugh, sharing his smile and humor with whomever he was around. He found solace in gardening, landscaping and playing the drums.  Steven was a devoted family man, with a strong faith and cherished time with his children.

Steven’s family includes his wife: Stacy Goodfellow-Colon of Cobleskill; daughter: Jillissa Colon of Cobleskill; sons: Brayden Colon Goodfellow of Middleburgh, Caleb Colon of Cobleskill; step-son: Parker Goodfellow of Cobleskill; mother: Sally Juan of West Fulton; father: Cecilio “Rod” Colon of Brooklyn; sisters: Sally Anne (Nicholas) Martz of Lutz, FL, Audrey (Bryan) Rivera of West Fulton; brother: Kenneth (Rebecca) Colon of Esperance; mother-in-law: Nancy Vitale of Middleburgh and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Coltrain Funeral Home LLC, 134 River Street, Middleburgh with Pastor David Houck officiating.  Interment will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery.  All are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
